Glengarry Broadsword Academy (Clann a' Claidheimh) is a historical fencing school and club serving beginner through to intermediate fencers from ages 6 to Adult in a range of historical fencing programs. Glengarry Broadsword is a social enterprise, heavily subsidizing the participation of children, youth and families, and investing in the range of training equipment in order that new fencers are able to participate with minimal personal investment. Our primary fencing disciplines are Small Sword, Single Stick and Highland Broadsword, with training available in Rapier. Training seminars are regularly run on other fencing disciplines, and frequently with guest instructors. These include sport fencing instructors, and the fundamental skills learned through our club would enable fencers to progress to sport fencing disciplines should they choose to.

Beginner Fencers are welcome at any time, but would be best served to join our beginner programs in the Fall, Winter or Spring Training Semesters, or the Summer Training Camps:

Adult and Youth (Age 14+) Fencing Camp - 16 to 19 July 2026

Children and Youth Fencing Camp (Programs for Ages 6-7, 8-13, 14-17) - 20 to 23 July

The 2025 Fall Training Semester is set to begin Thursday, September 18th at 5pm

The 2026 Winter Training Semester is scheduled to begin Thursday, January 15th at 5pm
