Programs

Glengarry Broadsword Academy (Clann a’ Claidheimh) focusses primarily on three fencing
disciplines: Smallsword, Single Stick and Basket Hilted Broadsword. The Smallsword is used
to develop fencing fundamentals, agility, accuracy and speed. Single Stick develops use the
cutting and parrying system typical of the use broadsword in Scottish Highlands. The skills
developed in Smallsword and Single Stick come together in the use of the Basket Hilted
Broadsword, for invited adult and some youth fencers who have graduated from a Novice
level of training.
